I love the challenge I get from tennis. I love the direct correlation between your effort and your results.
Tennis is a fun sport. What motivates me to play is the feeling of being in control, and the challenge of encountering new and different players each week.
When I was young, my mum told me to do sport to build my body strong and there was a tennis court very near to my house. So I started playing tennis and I enjoyed it straight away.
I play tennis simply because I love to play. I love this game. I love the adrenaline you get during a big match. And of course, winning a match or a tournament is an amazing feeling.
One of my main motivations to play tennis is to inspire the younger generations – I believe that is how dreams are made.
You’re always trying to be the best you can be. That’s the motivation, to keep working hard and develop your game so you’re competitive at the top for as long as possible.
I love the feeling of winning and pushing myself to being the best I can be. But most of all, making my living doing something I love is a dream come true.
My main motivation for playing tennis is my love for the sport. There’s nothing else I’d rather do with my time. I most enjoy the never ending struggle to continue to improve and the competitive nature of the sport.

As a kid, I was shy and team sports weren’t really my thing. Tennis gave me that space to be alone and build my self confidence..
Each challenge and each victory pushes you to the next level and that helps you to keep pushing yourself. That’s what makes a great game for me. When both me and my opponent are playing a high level of tennis in front of a big crowd and I’m enjoying every moment of it.
Ever since I first started playing, I’ve always enjoyed the process of improving my game and trying to achieve better results. My aim is to be a better player and person and to ultimately win a doubles Grand Slam.
I enjoy the time on court, developing myself day by day, and seeing all the hard work pay off. That feeling that you left it all on the court, and if you think back, you know you enjoyed every second of it.
I play to become the best player I can be. My ultimate goal is to win a grand slam. I love working hard and chasing that dream. I feel very lucky to wake up every day and do what I love.
When I was three years old, my father took me to the tennis court. I was hooked straight away. I’ve always just really enjoyed the game. That enjoyment, that pleasure is still there now. It’s still the main reason I play, simply because I love playing the game.
My tip for anyone coming into the game is always be yourself. There’s only one of you, so make yourself unique. That goes for how you play the game and how you are in life.
I like the feeling and the challenge of constantly trying to improve and get better at my sport. That feeling of being able to do more now than I could last week is something I really enjoy.
